Out of print.

These are three little books, each about 5.5" by 14" (B4 size folded lengthwise) with a soft cover. The first volume is typed; the second and third are hand written in a clear block print.

These volumes document a number of Inuit and Aleutian kayaks in European museums, including the oldest known kayak in Trinity House, Hull, England. Included are text description, tables of offsets and dimensions, line drawings of the kayaks and other notes. A commentary on methods fo documenting and measuring kayaks is included as well as a bit of fiction written by Brand.

We can only hope that at some point in the future, these volumes can be reproduced again. If you find a copy at a reasonable price, buy it - even if you don't want it, pass on the information and another kayak enthusiast will surely buy it from you.

Excerpts from the Little Kayak Books are found in Eastern Arctic Kayaks.
