Talk:Sea kayak history
From KayakWiki
This is a great resource. Is it possible to add in citations and sources? While the information may appear accurate, I'm a big fan of being able to look at primary sources if I have a question or want further information.

- When I added this page, I put in the resources I had. The sections without references are put together with bits and pieces that I gathered from different sources and none of those little sources is really comprehensive or reliable. While MacGregor and the Cockleshell heroes are documented, the other stuff is not. No one has written the history of modern sea kayaking. Most written stuff on history concentrates on traditional (Inuit, Aleut etc) history. If you do find something, please feel free to add/update/correct this article and provide citations. I'd certainly be interested in seeing more. Michael Daly

- Fair enough 8) If you do find the time or inclination, a review of what sources you do have would be useful in doing any degree of research on the History of Sea Kayaking.
-
- There is a brief note in Wikipedia at Sea_Kayaking#History, and Kayak#Origins but both are all too short. I suspect your text would be a good inclusion to the page.

- Allright, after a quick google of "Kayak History", the most informative hit has been at chicagokayak.com/kayak_ history. Hope this helps!
