The best whitewater in Switzerland can be found in the mountainous Alpine regions in the south of the country. These are shared with Austria, Germany, Italy and France. See North Alps

However, away from the mountains there are some Lakes, Rivers, and Playspots. Just a few random ones listed so far. Dont travel to these expecting them to be the best kayaking places in Switzerland!

• Limmat - Flowing from lake Zurich (Boring and flat) but with some interesting Playspots when it reaches Baden.

Confusingly the german for lake is 'see' (pronounced 'zay'). Switzerland has several big Lakes...

• Lake Zurich (or Zurichsee) - Big lake with the city of Zurich at the northerly end
