Staple gun

From KayakWiki

I have used three different types of staple guns in building strip built kayaks.

Staples need to be long (9/16 works well) for attaching strips to boards. It is also handy if they are not wide.

I have used the standard kind of gun. It wears me out and tends to kick back. I have used the electric version of this gun which does not wear me out and which does kick back some, but not as bad. You do need to carry around the extension cord for the stapler which is awkward.

I have also used one of the staple guns which hinge at the back of the gun and you push toward the front of the gun. I tried this with an oz of skepticism... Nevertheless, I am sold on it. It seems much easier than the electric. More after I have put 1500 staples into my newest kayak...
