Sea

Obviously sea is that gigantic playground for Sea kayaking, also known as the ocean. There are many seas in the world, although when we talk about sea kayaking places, we are categorising them by the content/country where the most relevant coastine can be found.

Sea is also a term for a type of waves generated by the local winds. Compare with swell, which refers to waves generated by distant wind fields.

Commonly referred to as wind waves, but most waves are created by wind. Seas is the more proper definition of locally created waves.
