Salt water fishing

My favorite all-around rod for inshore saltwater Mid-Atlantic inlets and tributaries is a 7' Star rod matched with a Spheros 4000. It will toss 1/8oz jigs up to 1 1/2oz plugs. The Spheros has a waterproof drag so it doesn't lock up after endless dunks and the Star rod is sensitive but with a backbone to set the hook.
