Polycarbonate

A strong, tough thermoplastic. One brand name is Lexan.
Used for a lot of outdoor gear, including:
- Nalgene bottles
- Cups, plates and camp kitchen stuff
- Eyeglass, safety glasses and sunglass lenses
- The hulls of some kayaks (Eddyline Carbonlite 2000)
- Also - what CDs and DVDs are made of.
