Pintail

From KayakWiki

The Pintail is a low-volume West Greenland-type kayak, except it has rounded bilges. It is a cousin to the Anas Acuta, with the same seat, deck, cockpit, keel shape and overall length. The Pintail is 1.5 inches wider, but the different hull cross section does not add any feelings of intial stability. It has a small, ocean-style cockpit. It's a boat for an active paddler who uses boat lean and edging to control their kayak.

It might not be a good choice for a larger paddler, just because of it's low volume and small cockpit. It's narrow width and low rear deck make it very easy to roll.

The Pintail tend to be on the slow side and doesn't track well (it is available with a skeg), but it turns easily, which is it's forte. It's great fun in the surf and probably as close to a whitewater kayak as a sea kayak can be.
