Pawlatta

From KayakWiki

The Pawlata Eskimo roll, is the classic extended paddle roll. It is basically a slow motion sweep roll using an extended paddle. It's named after it's Austrian inventor, Hans Edi Pawlata, who, in 1927, taught himself to roll based on historical descriptions of artic explorers. Pawlata is the first known non-native paddler to roll a kayak.
