Paddling jacket

From KayakWiki

Synthetic shell garment worn over or under PFD. Paddling jackets are typically less waterproof than drytops, and are often referred to as semi-dry tops. They are worn for wind protection and warmth rather than as a completely waterproof layer.

Paddling jackets will typically be made of waterproof or waterproof breathable fabric, with neoprene neck and wrist cuffs. Some have latex wrist seals. They will not keep you dry in a roll, but will keep you from getting utterly soaked.

Excellent as rainwear while paddling, or for keeping drips and spray at bay.
