PVA

  • Poly Vinyl Alcohol, a water soluble plastic. Used as a mold release agent.
  • Poly Vinyl Acetate - an adhesive (aka carpenter's glue)

Note: Some will differentiate these two by using slightly different abbreviations;

  • PVAL for polyvinyl alcohol
  • PVAC for polyvinyl acetate

However, these do not seem to be widely used. If both are used in a single article, it is useful to use these two.
