Stinchcomb Wildlife Reserve/North Canadian River

This lazy river is the feeder for Lake Overholser and can be paddled through most of the year. However, water levels are typically higher in the spring. Wildlife common to the area can be seen throughout the reserve even though it's located within the metro area. The best place to put in is the parking area south of the old Rt 66 bridge on NW 39th St Expressway, just west of Council Rd.
