[edit] Driving Directions:
From I-5 Northbound take the Hewitt exit and head west to W. Marine View Drive, take this north apx 1 mile, follow sign to public boat launch.
Parking usually isn't a problem, best spot for launch is parking left of the restroom and carrying to the first launch dock.
[edit] Where to Paddle:
The boat launch is in the path of the Snohomish river, which is slow moving and tidally influenced. I usually paddle north 1 mile to the northmost tip of Jetty Island and either circumnavigate (4 miles around) Or just stay and play in the waves if the tide/wind conditions are good.
There is an interesting line of partly sunken barges just past the point
Note that this is a shoal area and may become too shallow to paddle at low tide. (Don't ask me how I know this :) )
It is common for me to see harbor seals(sometimes 6 or 8 of them following me around), bald eagles, herons, and the usual assortment of gulls and geese.
