Where? : Formed in Briancon by the confluence of the Claree and the Guisane, the Durance flows southwards to Embrun and into Lac de Serre Poncon.

There are several runs.

• Briancon Gorge - Grade 3 short gorge section in Briancon
• Upper Durance - Grade 2 flat paddle between Briancon to Prelles
• Durance Gorge - Grade 4+/Grade 5 tough gorge section from Prelles to Argentiere
• Lower Durance - Grade 3- Easy run with some playspots from St Clement to Embrun
