Environment
- Water considerations
- Urban pollution. Shallow beach with slightly rocky launch. There are lots of board and dinghy sailors in the area in the summer. Watch for kids and dogs in the water near the beach and marathon swimmers further out. Further out still, watch for power and sailboat traffic.
- Wildlife
- Look for lots of birds and marine critters not usually associated with an urban environment. Leslie Spit is a bird sanctuary and the Toronto Islands are filled with all manner of wildlife if you learn to look.
Camping
- Campsites

- Recommended
