Brad-point drill bit

Brad-point drill bits are made for drilling holes with neat, clean edges and relatively flat bottoms.

A brad point bit can drill through a composite kayak leaving a relatively clean hole compared to what happens when you use a conventional twist drill bit. Brad points are also good for drilling holes for mortice and tenon joints in kayak making.
