Put in at the foot of 28th Ave NW in Ballard and paddle east, beneath the Ballard Bridge, the Fremont Bridge, the University Bridge, and the Montlake Bridge. East of the Montlake Bridge and the Arboretum, turn north (left) at Webster Point and paddle north to Magnuson Park. It's about 8.5 miles, a nice strenuous 2-hour trip. Recommended early in the morning before work. To cut the trip short, or for a bathroom break, stop at the Sunnyside Avenue boat launch east of Gas Works Park.
