Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

West of Lake Superior, in Superior National Forest. An area of pristine wilderness where motor craft, including float planes, are not allowed to operate. The fishing is great, the water is clear, and camping is superb.

Entry permits are required for use of this area and are subject to a lottery each winter.
