This is an exceptionally fun river that is available for rafting and kayaking for most of the summer. The River starts in Leadville Colorado and continues probably to Arkansas. The whitewater part of the river starts in Granite, Colorado and continues until Canyon City, Colorado. And as far as I know everything inbetween is boatable. The runs are listed above and as we say on the river it has everything from mild to wild. A note of caution: due to the mining in Leadville in the early part of the last century, this is one of the most poluted rivers in Colorado. There are a lot of mine tailings and most people that I know will not eat any of the fish that they catch in this river but many people enjoy sport fishing anyway.
A brief description of these runs is available at the Colorado State Parks Page until someone adds more detailed descriptions.
